Empowering Communities: NSS Camp at Chettiayamparmba UP School Kelakam by Sunrise College

Sunrise College of Advanced Studies proudly hosted a National Service Scheme (NSS) camp at Chettiayamparmba UP School Kelakam from December 26, 2023, to January 1, 2024. This transformative camp offered a unique and enriching experience for our students.

The highlight of the event was the implementation of "Laharikkethire Padayorukkam," where vegetable kits and informative pamphlets were distributed. Students actively engaged in creating awareness against drug addiction through various programs. Cultural performances, cleaning of the school compound, and the revitalization of the school playground with vibrant paintings marked key activities during the camp.

An awareness class led by the Fire Rescue Department further educated participants on safety and emergency procedures. The students and teachers, demonstrating unity and commitment, prepared sumptuous meals for seven days, symbolizing the taste of love shared among them.

On the final day, the camp culminated in a joyous celebration, welcoming the new year with colorful crackers and a cake-cutting ceremony. This marked a memorable first-time experience for many participants, encapsulating the spirit of community, learning, and celebration.
