The NSS Unit of Sunrise College proudly inaugurated a community-focused initiative named "Bridal Spark" on September 29, 2024. This unique project, located in Taliparamba, aims to offer free bridal wear rentals to underprivileged brides, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder the joy of their special day.
The inauguration ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Nafeesa Baby, Program Coordinator of DSS at Kannur University, who cut the ribbon and formally launched the project. Dr. Nafeesa applauded the NSS team for their compassionate vision, noting how the initiative fosters inclusivity and dignity within the community.
"Bridal Spark" provides an array of beautiful bridal outfits, donated by the college and local supporters, available for rent at no charge. By lifting the financial burden often associated with wedding attire, this project empowers couples from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The opening of "Bridal Spark" was a significant milestone, exemplifying Sunrise College's commitment to community service and compassionate outreach. The project has already received positive community feedback, and the NSS Unit is dedicated to expanding its reach, making a positive impact on the lives of brides in need.
