On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary, the Sunrise College NSS Unit 60, in collaboration with the National Federation for Human Rights (NFPR), organized a cleaning drive at Kannur District Hospital.
The program began at 9:00 AM with a welcome address by NFPR District President Anoop Thavar. College Director Dr. Muhammed Jouhar K.K. presided over the event, and former Mayor Adv. T.O. Mohanan inaugurated the drive. The chief guest for the program was Dr. Nithun P. Krishnan, Assistant Surgeon, District Hospital.
Greetings were also received from NFPR National General Secretary Bushra, Putthalam, and K.C.Y.M. General Secretary C.B. P. Santosh.
NSS volunteers, NFPR members, hospital staff, and K.C.Y.M. workers participated actively, cleaning hospital wards, surrounding areas, and nearby wooded regions. The activities were led by Semily K.C., Sheeja Peethambaran, Beena Puthanpur, and Muhammed Jabir M.K.
The NSS Program Officer, Bhavya P., expressed gratitude to all participants for their dedicated efforts.
